Babilon Publishing (imprint of Tessloff & Babilon Publishing House, Budapest) is one of the leading publishing houses in children’s books based in Hungary. Since starting in 1990 our mission has been to inform, entertain and inspire children of all ages and young adults. Most of our books are non-fiction books with cutting edge knowledge and matching illustrations or photos - licenced from well-known publishers from Germany, Great Britain, France and other countries.

Our well-deserved reputation for style and quality is based on our main series the “How and Why? /Was ist was/ Mi MICSODA/ science books written for 3 age groups. In addition to these series - under the same logo - we have first reader science books.

We strongly believe that reading our books about science, history, culture, and environment will contribute to educating future generations. They inspire children to be curious and courageous to embark on new adventurous excursions into the world of science, technology, nature or everyday life.

In addition to science books, we offer activity books, board books for babies and picture books.  We also publish fiction for young readers and fiction combined with a certain amount of science or practical knowledge.

We are the publisher of the novel series “School of the Magical Animals” with over 21 volumes, and the cosily illustrated “Slow Down” books which inspire the love of the natural world. They achieve tremendous success worldwide.

Our team has recently developed Hungarian children’s novels, picture books and science books infused with attractive artwork. We are constantly expanding our offer. We believe in strong illustrations and interactive education. We set great value on the quality of our products and accurate, up to date knowledge even for the youngest reader.

Besides books we are the exclusive publishers of the award winning LOGICO Primo and Piccolo in Hungarian, which is a comprehensive educational learning game, available in more than 40 countries.
